And they have now turned attention to Saturday’s clash with Leicester City - the first home game of the campaign.

Leicester drew their opener with Brentford but they will be expected to launch a challenge to secure a European spot this season.

The Foxes will be a tough challenge for Arsenal,and there has been some mixed news on the injury front.

Emile Smith Rowe, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Fabio Vieira have all returned to training ahead of Saturday’s clash.

Meanwhile, Ben White has been spotted wearing a knee brace, though he does still appear to be training as normal.

In a fresh blow, Reiss Nelson has been ruled out for two months, according to James Benge, due to a quad injury.

On the other side, Leicester will be without Ricardo Pereira, who will be out for six months after rupturing his Achilles.

Meanwhile, Harvey Barnes and Ryan Bertrand are both out with knee injuries.

Speaking about Arsenal, Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers has said: “Arsenal have gone to a new level with the three players who have come into the team.

“Saliba is a talented player, he’s gone away and got really good experience and you see him, he’s quick, he can dominate. He’s a fantastic addition and gives them presence at the back.

“Jesus is a world-class striker, you see his hunger and desire, it will elevate other players. Zinchenko can play in a couple of positions to the very highest level.

“They have given the squad the confidence and has given Mikel the tools to play how he really wants to play.”

Arsenal did the double over Leicester last season, and they will be hoping to repeat that this term, starting this weekend.
